This Christmas will certainly be different from the last one. With new services such as GPRS and MMS, it gives mobile phone users the added ability of possibly sending and receiving pictures - taken only minutes prior - to another compatible phone or email address. Owning a mobile phone today may become that much more interesting!
And Sony Ericsson, being the pioneer in mobile technologies, has just brought out an updated version of their mobile camera attachment, the MCA-25, that comes with several minor enhancements - which may just enrich the overall user experience making it that much more worthwhile to use.
Practicality and styling
For current MCA-20 users, the first difference youíll find about the MCA-25 is the shiny metallic - but plastic - finish and its thinner, longer footprint. Gone are the symmetrical curves and blue/white colour schema, as we may be expecting this camera to be compatible with a wider range of upcoming Sony Ericsson handsets. Also, a small Sony Ericsson logo has been given a location just above the viewfinder.
The viewfinder on the actual attachment has been re-introduced, which was on Ericssonís first camera attachment (MCA-10) but excluded from the MCA-20 - since Ericsson thought the colour screen on the T68m/T68i would suffice for this purpose instead. Its overall length has been increased because of this.
As for similarities, the MCA-25 comes with a hole to attach the lanyard allowing it to be worn around the userís neck - as well as the protective pouch encasing the attachment when stored away or not in use.
