Introduction

So many Bluetooth adapters on the market today - which one is suited for your needs? If you need a fast, small adapter that comes with its own software made for your mobile phone, the MA-700 from Mobile Action is perfect for you.

For those unsure about what exactly Bluetooth is - here is a small explanation. Bluetooth wireless technology is just that, wireless technology. Gone are the days where you had wires clogging up your computer desk or having to pop out your battery to connect your phone to your computer. Most new phones have Bluetooth embedded into them, so compatibility isnít a problem. Bluetooth is also really fast and has a huge communication range out of the line of sight like old Infrared adapters.

All different kinds of files can be transferred to your phone or other Bluetooth device, depending on what the device supports. Images, tones, themes, screensavers, MMS messages, and so much more can all be uploaded.

The Mobile Action MA-700 is compliant with Bluetooth 1.1 and USB 1.1/2.0. USB 1.1/2.0 compliant means that the adapter will work with hi-speed USB 2.0 and its predecessor USB 1.1. Both USB versions are fast, but 2.0 is just that little bit faster. Bluetooth 1.1 compliant means that the adapter has a working range of around 10m in normal conditions, and operates on a radio frequency of 2.4 GHz to 2.8 GHz. High speeds of up to 723kb/s are reachable in normal conditions - now thatís fast.

The MA-700 package includes your USB adapter, which looks the same at both ends, but when you pop off the cap the USB connector can be seen. It doesnít come with an extension like other adapters though. The USB adapter even has a strap hole in the top of it for easy transfer to other computers or laptops. The adapter itself is a dark metallic blue colour and would look great with any system itís attached to. Also included in the package is a CDrom will all the software and drivers you need to get the adapter working. There is no LED on this adapter, but once it is plugged in it is automatically turned on and active.
