This Bluetooth market is slowly picking up, shown by the number of new devices progressively becoming available. Over the course of the past few months, I have done a number of reviews on Bluetooth headsets, with most of their brands pretty well known to the typical mobile user.
But Bluetooth hardware (or accessories) does not need to be restricted to the same brand. Although Sony Ericsson may be well known for the wider range of Bluetooth headsets (improving with each new model released), the Bluetooth proprietary standard means that they can be inter-compatible with different brands of mobile phones. Therefore, this means a Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset can be used on a Nokia or Siemens mobile phone too - as long as they have Bluetooth support (of course!)
Having said that, this opens up new doors and opportunities for other manufacturers to possibly make accessories to do just this. This is what Jabra has done - being one of the few manufacturers that have gone ahead to design and manufacture a third-party Bluetooth headset.
The Jabra FreeSpeak (or BT200) is just one of the many Bluetooth headsets that they have in their product range, and could be possibly one of the best! Read on to find out why.
