Sony Ericsson K330 - Future phone

Sony Ericsson K330

Sony Ericsson K330

21 June 2008
Written by Mike Meers

The Sony Ericsson K330 is the second entry-level handset announced in Singapore this week, and offers slightly more functionality than the J132 also announced. The K330 has a built-in VGA digital camera, 1.7” LCD display, FM radio, and a built-in torch light.

The K330 is perfect for all entry level message lovers, with storage support for up to 450 text messages. SMS and MMS messaging is supported, and with the VGA digital camera you can shoot off small video clips and images to friends in no time or store them for your own personal collection – up to 12 minutes of video can be stored, or 250 images (10MB total).

Alternatively, if your friends are within 10 meters distance you can send them your clips and images using Bluetooth.

The 1.7” TFT LCD has 65,536 colour support within its 128 x 160 pixel resolution.

GPRS is supported, and the K330 comes with a WAP 2.0 xHTML compatible browser. The built-in FM radio can help bide the boring times, and a stereo headset is included in the sales package. With Java application support you could also opt to play games!

Other features include PIM applications such as a calendar, calculator, alarm clock, timer, task manager, stopwatch, and phone book (1000 contacts storage).

The K330 supports GSM 900/1800MHz, with the K330a supporting GSM 850/1900MHz networks (for US markets). The handset will be available in Gold on Black and Green on Black colour combinations when it arrives some time in Q4 2008.
