LG Electronics, the leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, has announced the addition of two new stylish handsets to the 'Black Label' series following the recent success of LG 'Chocolate' (KG800).
Delectable and visually stunning, the latest additions include the new sleek white and pink handsets. With its signature design features, the latest models expel glamour and serve as the perfect fashion accessory this summer. As an extension of the LG 'Chocolate' range, the white and pink models offer the same unique features and technical specifications as the original KG800.
The LG Chocolate phones feature a unique high-tech touch-keypad - a world first for mobile phones. Designed with slim minimalism and revolutionary technology, the latest range of 'Chocolate' continues to break the mould in mobile aesthetics. The new white and pink handsets provide consumers with a mobile phone that epitomises cutting edge technology whilst oozing modern style and sophistication.
As the first model under the 'Black Label' premium brand, LG Chocolate has been an amazing success both in Australia and internationally. LG has sold over one million units globally since its launch in early May. Whilst in Australia, the KG800 continues to experience a strong level of demand. LG expects that the cool white and tempting pink versions will promise to deliver the same remarkable results.
“In an aim to further develop the 'Chocolate' family and build on LG's dedication to provide a highly-visable and premium brand, we are presenting consumers the opportunity to select a phone which best suits their style and personality, without compromising on functionality, said Carli Wilson, Marketing Manager of Telecommunications, LG Electronics Australia.
“LG's decision to expand the Chocolate range stems from the outstanding succes of the international launch and LG's commitment to provide greater appeal amongst a range of consumers. The new KG800 series promises to be even more desirable, adding fashionable colour choices to unbeatable design.
“LG is perfectly placed to become a major player in the designer handset sector. The launch of the new white and pink handsets will enhance the company's position as a leading manufacturer of design-focused mobile phones worldwide,” she said.
Key features of the KG800 include:
• Rich Internal Memory: The Chocolate phone features a compact and sleek outline providing 128MB storage capacity for excellent music and sound quality.
• Decadent Picture and Sound Quality: The inbuilt 1.3 megapixel camera and video ensures convenient and fun picture taking, whilst the MP3/AAC music player offers exceptional quality of sound.
• Smooth Navigation: The ground-breaking high tech touch keypad enhances navigation and its illuminated red backlight sets it apart from its competitors.
• Slim Slide: The 15.2mm ultra slim slide phone is a definitive leader in slender style.
The original feature-rich LG Chocolate phone has already won two European design awards (iF Design Award and Red dot Design Award for its unique styling and user interface).
The new white and pink 'Chocolate' models will be released in October 2006 through leading phone retailers including Telstra, Optus, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone, with an RRP of $649.
