Watching world events unfold while you are on a bus, train or tram, or getting the latest TV sports news when you are out for dinner is now a reality with Telstra's launch of FOXTEL by Mobile.
The FOXTEL by Mobile service takes FOXTEL out of the lounge room and onto your NEXT G handset and delivers 12 exciting channels.

"Whether you're in a taxi, a park or an airport lounge, you can enjoy the news and great entertainment via FOXTEL by Mobile. Telstra is taking FOXTEL from the lounge room to all the other places our customers want to be able to enjoy their entertainment experience."
The FOXTEL by Mobile service will offer a range of FOXTEL channels, including leading subscription television brands SKY NEWS, FOX SPORTS News, Discovery Networks, FOX8, Disney Channel, MTV and CNN.

He said that of the 12 channels, some featured 'snack' style programming, designed for people on the go, with 3-5 minute bites of looped content that are updated throughout the day.
"FOXTEL is about delivering compelling video entertainment through any digital medium including cable, satellite, broadband and mobile networks. Telstra's NEXT G network is an exciting extension for FOXTEL and over time we intend to grow the offering substantially with the addition of more channels and on-demand services," he said.

Mr Moffatt said: "Foxtel by Mobile is an important component the NEXT G Network campaign and exclusive to Telstra. The experience of watching Foxtel TV on a mobile phone will be superior to any other thanks to our NEXT G Network."
The advertising was produced by George Patterson Y&R. The television advertising will be integrated into print, radio and outdoor executions.
"Our Foxtel by Mobile campaign features a Dad and his two sons on a camping trip being ruined by rain. Fortunately, Foxtel by Mobile enables him to show the wild life he has promised while keeping him entertained with the latest Fox Sports News and other content," Mr Moffatt said.
Interactive metro bill boards (city lights) will also be a unique feature of this campaign. This Australian first features both video and audio and will allow people to watch and change the channels on these outdoor displays across major CBD locations in Melbourne and Sydney commencing in November.
